W&S Sponsor Swanage Carnival
Attracting around 250,000 visitors each year, the Swanage Carnival is recognised as one of the UK's largest fundraising events on the calendar.
With a mission to raise money for local charities and good causes, W&S Waste Management ltd are, again proud to be sponsoring the event, working with them to ensure effective waste management across the eight-day fun-filled event.

About Swanage Carnival
The event is organised by volunteers each year, bringing together local businesses and arranging over 100 events, including air displays, live music, sporting events, games, competitions, firework displays and a Carnival procession.
Each year, the carnival has a different theme. The theme for 2025 is Cirque du Swanage’ – as part of the festivities, Swanage Carnival is welcoming The Steamship Circus – a contemporary circus and performance group.
What Will We Be Providing?
No matter what the weather, the turnout is always impressive, meaning there is always a need for efficient waste management that can cope. Swanage Carnival is an environmentally conscious event, meaning they want to work with local recycling centres to minimise their impact through recycling as much as possible over the eight days.
For the event, W&S will deliver recycling solutions for the following waste streams: Glass bottles, hard plastics, food packing, cardboard, metals and general waste. Various skips and loose material collections will be used throughout the event. To maintain a clean and tidy environment, we have strategically scheduled collections during the festival which will ensure no inconvenience to carnival attendees.
Of course, we will then collect all waste materials once everything has been packed away, taking all the waste to one of our recycling facilities where it will be recovered or recycled and diverted from landfill.
