W&S Waste Management Ltd is a leading provider of waste management and recycling services in the UK. Our supply chains include the procurement of goods and services related to waste collection, treatment, disposal, and recycling, as well as vehicles, equipment, fuel, utilities, and office supplies. We work with suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors, both in the UK and abroad, and we expect them to adhere to our high standards of ethical conduct and compliance.
We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. We have policies and procedures to ensure that we comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and other legislation, and that we identify and mitigate the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains. These include our Modern Slavery Policy, our Code of Conduct, our Whistleblowing Policy, our Supplier Code of Conduct, our Procurement Policy and Procedures, our Risk Management Framework, and our Training and Awareness Programme.
We conduct due diligence and monitoring activities to verify the compliance and performance of our suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors, and to ensure that they follow our Supplier Code of Conduct and the Modern Slavery Act 2015. These activities include requiring them to complete a questionnaire, conducting audits and inspections, implementing corrective actions and improvements, reviewing, and updating our database and risk register, and seeking feedback and input from them.
We measure and report on our performance and progress in preventing and combating modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains, and we strive to improve our policies, procedures, and practices.
We are committed to working with our stakeholders, including our clients, suppliers, contractors, subcontractors, employees, trade unions, regulators, industry associations, civil society organisations and government agencies, to prevent and combat modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains, and to support the victims and survivors.
