Recycling Process Of Vapes
W&S Recycling are working in partnership with Veolia to ensure the safe handling and recycling of as many of the materials in vapes as possible.
This process includes:
- Extraction - valuable materials are extracted such as lithium, nickel and manganese.
- Dismantle - vapes are dismantled manually, separating the materials and parts.
- Clean - each reusable material is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for transport.
- Recycle - materials are sent to facilities where they can be reused in the manufacturing process.
We aim to recycle as much of the vape as possible, reducing the carbon footprint of the vaping industry and the risk of waste fires across the UK.

Disposing of Vapes At Our Sites
Disposing of your vapes couldn't be easier at our sites.
Step 1: Report to our site staff
When you arrive at our site, you will need to find a member of our site team to let us know which waste stream you are disposing of.
Step 2: Dispose of vapes
Once we have your details, you are free to access the vape disposal area. Place your vapes in the allocated containers.
Step 3: Leave
Confident that you have helped the environment and reduced the chance of a waste fire.

Why Is Vape Recycling Important?
If vapes are left to decompose in landfills, they pose a serious threat to our environment and the ecosystem.
