Tips to help keep office waste to a minimum

13 June 2017

Keeping waste to a minimum in the workplace is one of the number one ways to keep costs down and profits as high as possible. However, it is also important to consider the environment throughout your working day, including practices that help to promote the reuse of items and reduction of waste - for the benefit of your business as well as the environment it is in.

We understand that running a business is time consuming and with these environmentally friendly tips, you'll save time and money at the same time!

Keep printing to a minimum
Instead of sending company newsletters or correspondence in the post, save paper by simply sending an email.

Be printer savvy
If you really must print documents, take care to keep paper wastage to a minimum by printing on both sides.

Wash up!
Instead of using plastic cups or cutlery, provide reusable cups, plates and cutlery and encourage your staff to reuse – this will save you money in the long run, as well as helping to save the environment!

Invest in a scanner
Scanning existing documents ready to email to customers, staff or clients is a great way to keep paper wastage to a minimum as you’ll be able to share a digital copy rather than printing the same item multiple times.

Recycle waste paper
Sometimes waste paper is unavoidable, but with our confidential shredding and paper recycling services your business will still be able to do its bit for the environment and keep landfill waste to an absolute minimum!

Reuse boxes
Save cardboard boxes from purchases and reuse them when shipping goods out to your own customers and save money on packaging whilst keeping cardboard wastage as low as possible.
